2025 PRSSS AGM and Spring Workshop: Diagnosing Digital Horizons
Explore the frontier of soil data science with BCCAI & PRSSS!
In collaboration with the B.C. Centre for Agritech Innovation (BCCAI), the 2025 PRSSS AGM Conference and Spring Workshop will be showcasing all that is new and exciting in the world of soil data science. This hybrid event will feature up-and-coming names in soil science and data analytics, and provide hands-on learning activities for students and young professionals.
If cutting-edge speakers and hands-on learning were not enough, we are also bringing back our Student Poster Competition. Open to all post-secondary students (in-person and virtually), this competition offers a platform to share your research, proposals, or topics of interest with the rest of our membership. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, as well as the People’s Choice. Enriching discussions and ample networking opportunities await!

For the 2025 AGM and Spring Workshop, registration will take place through our collaborators at BCCAI. Please find the registration details at this Eventbrite link. Follow the registration section closely. Registration for this workshop comes with your annual PRSSS membership, so don’t forget to claim that through the link!
Registration closes Friday February 28th, 2025 at midnight.
Poster Competition Details
Follow these instructions in 2025 PRSSS Poster Competition being held at our 2025 PRSSS AGM – Diagnosing Digital Horizons.
Eligibility:
- Be a post-secondary student (undergraduate or graduate)
- Plan to attend the AGM Conference and select “Yes” to the Student Poster Competition in the Google RSVP form
- Have a poster on a soil science topic or with a soil science component. Posters can include research findings, proposals, school projects, or general topics of interest.
All posters submitted by Saturday February 15, 2025 will enter the competition and the top 3 winners will be awarded during the 2025 AGM. Those who miss the deadline are still eligible for the People’s Choice Award which will be decided on the day of the AGM. Submit your poster as a .pdf/.pptx to prsssemail@gmail.com with the subject line: Last Name, First Name – PRSSS Poster Submission. Recommended poster size 3ft X 4ft.
We are offering reimbursement for poster printing up to $45, so don’t let the cost hold you back from sharing your passion. Please include your receipt with your submission and the desired reimbursement amount.
Prizes include:
- 1st: CA$300.00
- 2nd: CA$200.00
- 3rd: CA$100.00
Additionally, those interested in presenting their posters in-person will be eligible to compete for the People’s Choice Award at the day of the AGM. Prize:
